Charlize Theron burst onto the scene in 1996 with a star-making performance in the otherwise forgettable 2 Days in the Valley, and she has remained in the public eye ever since. Charlize has appeared in such Hollywood hits as 1997's The Devil's Advocate, 1999's The Cider House Rules and 2003's The Italian Job, and she has worked alongside some of the biggest and brightest stars around, including Ben Affleck, Will Smith and Matt Damon. In 2004, Charlize deservedly won an Oscar for her searing performance as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster, and has since been nominated for another Academy Award for 2005's North Country.
