| Lucie Silvas' vocal range and style has been compared to that of Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. Although she's only recently become known to music fans, her popularity is steadily increasing due to her debut album Breathe In and the many sultry songs contained therein. Her star is on the rise and we can definitely understand how she can make things rise. |
 |
| Lucie Silvas is full of youthful vim and optimism. She has a talent for songwriting and her voice is as sweet as honey. Her soulful tones could lure any man away from whatever he was doing. But not only is Lucie Silvas easy to listen to, she's also easy on the eyes. British men have been tripping over their Union Jacks to get a peek at Lucie Silvas and, with her talent, soon Americans will know what they've been drooling about. |

Lucie Silvas was born in 1980, in Surrey, England. Her father is from New Zealand and her mother, Isobel, is also a singer and is from Scotland. Lucie has two older sisters: Mia and Nicki.
Lucie's love for music stemmed from her parents' musical preferences when she was young. By age 3, she was listening to artists like the Beatles, the Carpenters and Carole King, and by age 5, she was already learning to play the piano.
Lucie spent time in her youth traveling between Scotland, England and New Zealand on family visits. She spent most of her formative childhood in New Zealand. At 13, Lucie moved back to England to be closer to the music scene.
Then, when Lucie turned 17 in 1997, she went on her first tour as a backup singer for British singer Judie Tzuke.
In 2000, Lucie signed a contract with Chrysalis, a division of EMI Records, to start her recording career and launch her first album. That year she released her first ever single, "It's Too Late." The single never caught on, plans for her album were shelved and she was dropped from the label.
Over the next few years, Lucie continued to write songs for artists such as Gareth Gates, Liberty X and Rachel Stevens. |
