Jenny Lewis was born January 8, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The daughter of veteran lounge performers, Jenny made her own entr?e into showbiz in 1985 thanks to a guest starring role in an episode of The Twilight Zone. That one episode got the ball rolling, and over the next five years Jenny appeared in more than a dozen top-ranked shows including The Golden Girls, Mr. Belvedere and Growing Pains. She also made the transition onto the big screen with well-received roles in Trading Hearts (1987) and Troop Beverly Hills (1989). The hits kept on coming throughout the 1990s as Jenny divided her time between blockbuster programs like Roseanne and Baywatch and quirky films like 1998's Pleasantville, starring Hollywood stars Tobey Maguire and Reese Witherspoon. Despite her success, Jenny eventually grew disenchanted with the industry. "Acting came more for practical and financial purposes, and that lost its charm eventually," she says.
