Texas rockers Eisley got their first taste of wide exposure while opening for Coldplay in 2003. Following up on the success of their 2003 EP Marvelous Things, they released their debut record, Room Noises, in February of 2005.

We have to salute the talented youngsters of Eisley for their fantasy-infused, imaginative brand of music, which comes as a bit of a relief from other teen-pop offerings. Dorky rock was never so cool.

Eisley is truly a family affair. The band's members include siblings Stacy DuPree (born October 7, 1988), Sherri DuPree (born December 3, 1983), Chauntelle DuPree (born November 8, 1981), and Weston DuPree (born May 17, 1986), as well as close friend Jonathan Wilson (born February 4, 1983). Growing up in the small town of Tyler, Texas, the DuPree children, encouraged by parents Boyd and Kim DuPree, fueled their active imaginations with music, books and movies.

Eisley's beginnings can be traced back to the mid-1990s, when elder sisters Sherri and Chauntelle wouldn't let Stacy (who was only 8 at the time) play with them. Stacy, upset, went off to write her own songs; when the other DuPree sisters realized she wrote better songs than they did, they let her join in. The young DuPrees might have had to wait before performing for an audience had parents Boyd and Kim not started up BrewTones Coffee Galaxy, a coffee house in a local strip mall where they showcased their talent. In May of 1998, the three DuPree sisters, calling themselves The Towheads, made their debut performance at the BrewTones' grand opening.
