Dream, a pop, R&B and hip-hop quartet made up of Ashley, Holly, Diana and Melissa, is Sean Puffy combs' latest project. The SoCal girls were signed to Puffy's record company, Bad Boy Records, immediately after he saw them perform.
But before they were Dream, they were Ashley Nicole Poole, Diana Ortiz, Holly Blake Arnstein, and Melissa Amber Schuman, four California girls who dreamt of becoming pop stars.
Ashley Nicole was born May 10th, 1985, in Blythe, CA. Wanting to be a star, which is why she called 1-800-BE-A-STAR in the first place, she found out about the audition for Dream. Although she was one of the ten other girls who sang Celine Dion's Titanic single, Ashley made the cut thanks to her confident attitude and cool image.
Holly Blake is the actress of the bunch, who starred in musical theater while growing up in North Hollywood. By the time she was in grade eight, she put aside drama and decided to make music her life. Her vocal coach encouraged her to audition for Dream, and she was on board right away.
Holly led to the addition of the youngest group member, Diana. Born September 23, 1985, in the San Fernando Valley, Diana was recommended by Holly, her best friend, to the group. Diana always wanted to perform, and luckily she was the perfect fit.
And last but not least, there's Melissa Amber, the San Clemente blonde born August 21st, 1984. Also guided by her singing coach to audition, the Christina Aguilera fan rounds out the perky foursome. |
