| The Beu Sisters aren't the most famous family act out there, but their determination to make it in the music biz resulted in the release of their 2002 debut album Decisions. Their fabulous harmonies have also been featured in films like The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Ella Enchanted and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. |

The Beu Sisters were born into a family with a history of performing. Both their mother, Mary Ann O'Reilly, and father, Andy, were actors who had worked on Broadway.
Candice Cleone Agnes was born on October 12, 1975, and Christie Darea followed on March 21, 1978. Five years later, on March 10, 1983, Jiliane was born, while Danielle Therese arrived on September 7, 1987. The girls were all born in Manhattan.
In 1991, the Beus relocated from New York City to the sleepy coastal community of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The sisters began singing together with their mother, but each pursued other artistic endeavors individually. In 1994, their parents divorced. The girls grew closer together as a result of the split, and music became the central focus for Candice, Christie, Jiliane, and Danielle.
With their mom as their vocal and musical mentor, The Beu Sisters started out harmonizing on popular country tunes when the youngest of them was 6 years old. Originally calling themselves the Littil Women, they worked out dance routines in front of a mirror and put together a wardrobe of non-matching, second-hand dresses that were re-tailored to match.
By 1997, after honing their singing and performing chops for about four years, they recorded a demo of four original songs, which they used to shop their talents around.
Their persistence and determination to make it as professional entertainers soon began opening doors for them; they started getting booked as the supporting act for a variety of artists, such as Daryl Singletary, Bad Company, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Ricochet. They followed up on this by sending out a performance videotape to recording industry people.
Making little headway after several months, they sent out their last copy to famed songwriter Desmond Child, who has written hits for the likes of Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, KISS, Ricky Martin, and Cher. |
