"I was very athletic, playing basketball, soccer and varsity gymnastics. My bust never stopped me."
-Shoshanna Lonstein

| Once known as the much younger girlfriend of Jerry Seinfeld, Shoshanna has developed into quite the beauty and businesswoman, wowing men with her assets and women with her unique designs. As Kramer would say, "giddy up!" |
 |
| After tabloids hit hard with reports of Seinfeld's barely legal relationship with Lonstein, her future as a designer did not look promising. But she persevered and came out with Shoshanna, a line of clothing favoring those blessed women who have big bust lines and small waists. |

Born in 1975, Shoshanna Lonstein's childhood was a fairly privileged one, enjoying a comfortable life in New York City as a pretty, athletic young girl. She attended the well-known Nightingale-Bamford all-girls school, excelling academically while getting involved in her school's sports teams. It has become celebrity gossip legend that Lonstein was wearing her plaid-skirt uniform when she caught comedian Jerry Seinfeld's eye one day in Central Park.
From Nightingale, Lonstein attended the University of California at Los Angeles, studying both history and art history. She completed the double major in 1997 and went straight into the job market, looking for employment in public relations and banking.
With no jobs truly enticing her, Shoshanna (which means "rose" in Hebrew) returned home and moved back in with her parents. It was a difficult few months for her, as her four-year, much-publicized relationship with Seinfeld ended around the same time. For the girl who always seemed to have it easy, the road was starting to get difficult.
Determined to cultivate her creative tendencies, she began sketching clothes and realized her childhood dreams of fashion design may not have been too far off. She reached out to her CEO father for help and was able to land a few jobs in the garment district. Instead of pay, her employer promised to make samples of her designs. The prototypes were at first limited to lingerie, but when Lonstein experimented with dresses, she knew something special was about to happen. |
