"I got jumped in ninth grade. Ten girls started grabbing my hair and beating me. If those girls from ninth grade came back, I'd hold my own."

| Ultimate Fighting is certainly a thrill ride, but let's be honest: You can only watch 300-pound eye-gouging grapplers for so long before you crave a little beauty to go with the beasts. Fortunately for us, Rachelle and her partner, Amber Miller, provide us with the requisite curves to contrast the Octagon's hard angles |
 |
| Rachelle can currently be seen on Spike TV as one of Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) number-carrying, whiplash-inducing Octagon Girls. Before getting into the fight game, the gorgeous Californian was also a successful print and runway model. |

Rachelle Leah was born in Redwood City, a picturesque community just south of San Francisco. Although active in swimming and gymnastics, it didn't take her long to catch the modeling bug. "When I was 16, I started modeling," Rachelle recalls. "It was more of a hobby than anything. When I was 18, I sent in photos to agencies and began working immediately. My first job modeling was with a real estate infomercial. It was a lot of fun."
Rachelle spent the next few years doing runway shows and ad campaigns while also trying to make time for her education. That's when fate stepped in. Rachelle agreed to help out a friend one night by working as a ring girl at a local boxing event. The curvy Californian took to the job like a fish to water and ended up being prominently featured on the event's website. "I was just at the right place at the right time," Rachelle says modestly.
Rachelle's appearance and accompanying photos caught the attention of the staff at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and she was soon brought in for a face-to-face meeting. "I went in for an interview and have been with UFC ever since," she says. "It has been a very fast 18 months doing that and is the most fun I've ever had."
Rachelle's first big UFC event was UFC 48: Payback in 2004. It's a night she'll never forget. "It was really cool," she says, "It was a much larger audience than I'd ever had as a ring-card girl, so I certainly enjoyed it. I had a wonderful time." |
