Both well-known for cavorting around New York City, they decided to translate their crazy high-society lives into a reality show. Gastineau Girls debuted on E! in February 2005, and viewers tuned in to watch aspiring model Brittny and hot mom Lisa live it up. |

While studying broadcast journalism at the University of Alabama, Lisa D'Amico met and fell in love with soon-to-be New York Jets defensive end Mark Gastineau. The two were married in 1979, when Lisa was just 19 years old. She hoped for a life of luxury and a career in sports broadcasting. Though the former did come, as Mark became a defensive force, Lisa never accomplished her career goals; in its stead came tabloid news reports and paparazzi.
The beautiful wife of the edgy, often controversial Gastineau received lots of attention during her husband's career, and it was not easy for her to deal with it.
After daughter Brittny was born on November 11, 1982, Lisa and Mark tried to work out their marriage, which had become strained under the New York spotlight. They worked at it for four years, but finally, in 1986, they separated.
The divorce would become final in 1991.
oneAfter the separation, Lisa and Brittny stayed in New York and lived a rather lavish life, thanks largely to Mark's earnings during his successful NFL career. Lisa, who modeled on occasion, encouraged her daughter to be open-minded about her career path and sent her to her alma mater, the University of Alabama. There, Brittny studied event planning but had her eye on modeling, a career she had been interested in from a young age. |
