Gail Porter was born March 23, 1971, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Always studious while in school, Gail was even considered a snob because her head was always in the books. With excellent grades and ambition, Gail went on to study media in Film School.
After graduation, Gail was hired as a runner for a Video Production Company, where she was treated like just another number. She was put to work in menial jobs such as making coffee and providing food, to cleaning the office.
After working as coffee maker and office scrubber for 4 years, Gail finally produced her own show reel, which consisted of interviews with random people on the streets of Edinburgh. This eventually led to her work in children's television, presenting cartoons on TV, which led to her Fully Booked gig.
Gail got tired of her career in children's television, and opted for more a grown-up image (a move Kylie Minogue is also known for) and a new audience. She became an "Electric Circus" presenter on Live and Kicking, a guest host of the television series Melinda's Big Night In, and host of The Movie Chart Show. |
