Estella Warren was born December 23, 1978, to an elementary school principal mother and a used-car salesman father. A professional swimmer, Estella moved to Toronto at the age of 12 to train with the national synchronized swimming team.
In 1996, a change in career paths whisked Estella from chlorine filled waters to designer catwalks. She participated in a high school fashion show, and photos of Estella were sent to a New York modeling agent. Next thing she knew, she was doing photo shoots with professional fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth, and posing for Italian Vogue.
After becoming the senior national champion at 17 years old, Estella could have moved on to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, but she chose to make modeling her priority instead.
Since Estella was already living on her own in Toronto for 4 years, the move to New York to pursue a modeling and acting career was not a difficult one. Her father became her manager and modeling gigs were soon coming Estella's way. |
