Lara Stone

Lara Stone was born on December 20, 1983 in a small town in the outskirts of Berlin, Germany. She was brought up in Mierlo, a small town of the Netherlands. Lara participated in the Elite Model Look contest at the age of 15 in 1999. Although she did not win the contest, she was offered a contract with the same group. She was sent to Paris in 2000. In 2006 Lara got a chance to work with the IMG Agency, and this was the turning point of her life.

Since then Lara started working with the designers like Miu Miu, Stella McCartney, and Valentino etc. She also appeared for the promotions of the brands like Calvin Klein Jeans, Just Cavalli jewels, Levi's and so on. She appeared in covers of French magazines like Elle and Jalouse and other magazines as well which include the Japanese and Italian editions of Vogue.  

She was chosen as the best model of 2006 by MODTV. She also topped in the FashionTV show, First Faces Fall 2007 Countdown, in 2007. Her trademarks include the gap between her front teeth and her wobbly runway walk, which can be atrributed to her size 7 feet, smaller than the regular runway shoe which are size 8-10. The February 2009 edition of Vogue Paris featured Stone as the cover star and sole model in the entire magazine.
