She has graced the cover of Australian Vogue, V and Dazed & Confused and has been photogrpahed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Nick Knight, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel and Craig McDean. Her career in the fashion industry began when she won the Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search in Australia and moved to Sydney from Melbourne there after. She is friends with models Iekeliene Stange, Alice Burdeu and Catherine McNeil. Abbey Lee has a pierced nose (her left nostril) and a pierced nipple. She currently resides in New York, NY. Lee is ranked 20th on the Top 50 Models Women list. She appeared in the Victoria's Secret 2008 Fashion Show in Miami. During Paris Fashion Week, Abbey Lee fainted at the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2009 Runway. She fainted just as she was about to exit the runway. The cause of the fainting spell was thought to be the combination of the tight corset she wore and her high heels.
