Tiger Woods donates huge chunks of his money to charitable causes, most notably, The Tiger Woods Foundation, which focuses its ventures on improving the health and well-being of children. Other projects include In The City Golf Clinics and Festivals, which sets up three-day golf clinics and a mini festival, the Tiger Woods Learning Center, a 35,000 square-foot facility whose mission is to enrich the learning of students from grades 4 through 12, and Tiger Jam, an annual fundraising concert.

Being such a prominent figure, it is understandable that Tiger would want to get away once in a while. In 2004, he paid $20 million for a 4,000 nautical-mile-range yacht, which allows him the occasional opportunity to escape the insanity that comes along with fame. One of his favorite boating hobbies is spear fishing, having stated: "The fish don't know who I am."

Although he has already accomplished much as a professional golfer, conversations about Tiger inevitably turn to whether or not he is the greatest of all time; a distinction that should be determined for good if and when he breaks Jack Nicklaus' venerated record of 18 major wins.

Tiger Woods is one of the most successful golfers of all time and is clearly the best of the current generation. While adding the 2006 PGA Championship and the 2006 British Open to his collection this year, Tiger has already won 12 major golf championships and has more wins on the PGA Tour than any other active member. While earning the title of PGA Tour Player of the Year six times, Woods has finished atop the PGA Tour Money List in seven of the last 10 seasons and is one of the highest paid athletes in professional sports.
