"Me want to work when me want to work. Most of the time me want to just chill or whatever, or just hang with me beetches."
- Sacha Baron Cohen(Ali G) |

| The creator of characters who make us cry with laughter, Sacha Baron Cohen is a comedic genius. He is a man who takes risks and brings controversial humor to the next level. Ali G is a rude, moronic, immature quasi-journalist -- and we never want him to change, and Borat is a racist, misogynistic immigrant television reporter from Kazakhstan. Can you say, "Booyakasha!"? |
 |
Sacha Baron Cohen has propagated the hilarious characters of Ali G, Borat, the inept Kazakhstani TV reporter, and Bruno, the over-the-top Austrian fashion expert. Baron Cohen first performed his shtick on The 11 O'Clock Show and then landed his own series, Da Ali G Show. Cohen scored hits with the filming of Ali G Indahouse and the video release of Ali G: Bling Bling, and HBO broadcasts Da Ali G Show in North America. Baron Cohen continued to go mainstream as the voice of King Julian the Lemur in Madagascar, and he acted alongside Will Ferell in Stranger than Fiction.
His low budget mockumentary Borat: Cultural Learnings from America for make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is something people around the world were waiting for. |

Looking to conquer America next (although Americans had already recognized him as the limo driver in Madonna's "Music" video), Baron Cohen brought Da Ali G Show to HBO in 2003. He embarrassed a whole new set of politicians on the show, and became even more popular thanks to his other alter egos: Borat -- who became more popular than Ali G -- and Bruno, a blatantly homosexual Austrian fashion presenter. Baron Cohen's move to the U.S. proved to be hugely successful.
Sacha Baron Cohen has kept busy getting engaged to Australian model-actress Isla Fisher and getting involved in film projects: He gave his voice to King Julian the Lemur in 2005's Madagascar, starred alongside Will Ferrell and Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stranger than Fiction and filmed a low-budget mockumentary about Borat and his antics, called Borat: Cultural Learnings from America for Make Benift Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
We will be seeing more of Baron Cohen on the big screen in years to come, guaranteed. Aiiii. |
