| The so-called king of side projects, Mike Patton has been the distinctive vocalist for Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Tomahawk, and Fantomas. In 2006, he released the debut album from his new project, Peeping Tom. The self-titled album is a lush sonic smorgasbord that features collaborations with Norah Jones, Kool Keith and Massive Attack. "I don't listen to the radio, but if I did, this is what I'd want it to sound like," Patton says of Peeping Tom’s uniquely engineered sound. "This is my version of pop music. In a way, this is an exercise for me: taking all these things I've learned over the years and putting them into a pop format." |

| Since 2006, Patton has been focused on Peeping Tom, a sprawling supergroup that includes collaborations with artists like Norah Jones, Kool Keith and Massive Attack. The group’s self-titled debut was released on May 30, 2006 on Ipecac Recordings and claimed the No. 1 spot on the Top Heatseekers chart. “It’s easier on the ear,” Patton says of the effort. “It is more linear music than a lot of other current projects of mine and it’s more song-form oriented.” |
