| "It's not necessarily a bad thing to be running from something and chasing something all at the same time. I think deep down a lot of people are that way, whether they'll face it or not." -Kenny Chesney |
| Date of Birth: March 26, 1968 |

| Kenny Chesney has no problem rocking sold-out stadiums and arenas across the U.S., but when the spotlight and the roar of the crowd have faded, Kenny loves nothing more than to escape to the serenity of the Caribbean isles to get all introspective and philosophical, and return with an album's worth of new material. |
 |
| Kenny's known to connoisseurs of contemporary country for chart-topping hits like "She's Got It All" (1997), "How Forever Feels" (1999), "The Good Stuff" (2002), "There Goes My Life" (2003), and "When the Sun Goes Down" (2004). He's also scored three No. 1 albums on Billboard's Top 200 chart, starting with 2002's quadruple platinum No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems. |

His sixth chart topper was included on his next album, When the Sun Goes Down, released in February 2004. The collection debuted on Billboard's Country and Top 200 charts at No. 1, went triple platinum, and produced three more big country hits -- a couple of No. 2's ("I Go Back" and "The Woman With You") and the No. 1 title track, a duet with Uncle Kracker.
When the Sun Goes Down also won Chesney a CMA Award in November 2004, in addition to his CMA triumph as Entertainer of the Year. Just a few days later, he beat out top artists such as Usher, OutKast, and Norah Jones to win the fan-voted Favorite Artist award at the American Music Awards.
In January 2005, Chesney performed at an All-Star concert, which helped raise money for victims of the Asian tsunami disaster of December 2004.
Be As You Are: Songs From an Old Blue Chair, a collection of tunes inspired by his love for the sunny islands of the Caribbean, was issued in late January 2005, and became his third consecutive release to crash into the Billboard Top 200 and Country charts at No. 1. He spent much of 2005 on the road headlining the Somewhere in the Sun Tour, with special guest Gretchen Wilson and Uncle Kracker.
On May 9, 2005, Kenny and Renee Zellweger exchanged vows on the Caribbean island of St. Johns, in a surprise wedding. The two apparently met at the "Concert of Hope" tsunami relief benefit in early 2005. |
