Born to Cuban-exiled parents in Argentina and raised in Columbia, Jorge Perez came to Miami when he was 18, and eventually became one of the most influential Hispanics in the U.S.
As Chairman of The Related Group of Florida, the Condo King of the Tropics presides over one of the largest real-estate development firms in the nation. He’s been an integral part of the revitalization of Miami’s skyline over the past three decades, creating environments that infuse functionality and livability with luxurious aesthetic inspiration. |

| Jorge is a major mover-and-shaker in his adopted hometown of Miami, where he serves on the Board of the Miami Downtown Development Authority, as vice-chairman on the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council. He also sits on the University of Miami’s Board of Trustees, which has recognized his contributions to the institution by inaugurating the Jorge M. Perez Architecture Center in 2004. A connoisseur of fine arts with a private collection of some 400 paintings and sculptures, Perez is a prominent patron of the Miami Art Museum and the director of the Miami Film Festival. |

| One of Jorge’s current projects is the Las Ramblas development in Las Vegas -- a $3-billion enterprise. The projected 11-tower venture will encompass several upscale restaurants and night clubs, a five-star hotel and casino, in addition to 4,400 residential condos. Phase one is set for completion in early 2008, and will include the first four high rises, while the entire complex will be completed by 2012. |
