| The self-proclaimed “King of All Media,” Stern is currently fulfilling a five-year, $500-million contract to helm his own show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Prior to inking his mammoth deal, this scatological shock jock had frequent run-ins with the FCC due to his controversial use of sexual and racial humor. |

In addition to being one of the most recognizable voices in America, Stern is also a decorated writer. This Long Island native has produced the best-selling books Private Parts and Miss America, and he was also a contributing writer on his popular Baywatch parody series, Son of the Beach.
When he isn’t writing one-liners or spewing venom, Stern enjoys kicking back by practicing transcendental meditation -- a form of relaxation first introduced by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. “My energy level is through the roof and I'm excited about it,” he says. “It's something new and exciting and unique and it allows me to do what I love doing.”
The shock jock isn’t all panties and self-promotion though: In 2001 he started the Howard Stern Show Relief Fund to assist the families of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Stern requested that his listeners donate $5 to the fund and on October 12, 2001 he presented a check worth $4 million to Mayor Rudy Giuliani. |

Don’t expect Stern to slow down any time soon. After more than 30,000 hours on the air, this television and radio veteran still has plenty to say. “I still feel like I gotta prove something,” he admits. “There are a lot of people hoping I fail. But I like that. I need to be hated.”
