| Given the task of portraying Anakin Skywalker (a.k.a Darth Vader) in Star Wars: Episode II and Episode III of the second leg of George Lucas' uber-famous sci-fi series, Hayden Christensen has emerged from obscurity to become one of the hottest young actors in Hollywood. Time will tell if he can escape the Star Wars shadow once the series is done, but if work in Shattered Glass and Life as a House are any indication, he should do just fine. |

Commuting back and forth from the imaginary world of Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith to the real world set of Shattered Glass was tough, but Hayden accomplished the feat, and then returned to work with the Star Wars crew full-time, up until its release in May 2005.
As this final modern prequel shows the ultimate downfall of Anakin Skywalker, Christensen got the opportunity to show off his true skills and certainly does not disappoint.
When hype surrounding the last Star Wars blockbuster dies down, Hayden, who travels between his homes in Los Angeles and Toronto, will surely be able to cultivate a career filled with successes that go beyond the sci-fi realm. He is set to star in The Decameron with Mischa Barton, slated for release in 2006. |
