| "Careers are not often as chosen as people think they are. People talk to me about my choices. I don't make choices, hardly. Things happen, and you say yes or no -- usually 'yes', because it's always better to do something. What's the choice? Somebody will say, 'Don't do that part, you don't need to do that part'. And I'll say, 'Why not?' What am I going to do? Sit around the house? I'd much rather go to work, and see actors, and have fun." -Christopher Walken |

| A veteran actor with loads of dark roles to his credit, Christopher Walken remains one of the most entertaining, consistent performers of today. Many of his excellent supporting roles are the stuff of legend, and there are few Hollywood stars that are as respected as he is. |
 |
| With nearly 100 movies on his resume, Christopher Walken has a long and storied career. Awarded an Oscar for his 1978 supporting role in The Deer Hunter, Walken is remembered for playing Diane Keaton's suicidal brother in Annie Hall, a psychic detective in The Dead Zone and James Bond's nemesis in A View to a Kill. Superb, and at times perturbing, performances in Batman Returns, Pulp Fiction, Sleepy Hollow, True Romance, and Suicide Kings furthered his rep as a consistent performer. You can catch Walken next in the musical Romance & Cigarettes and the comedy Click, co-starring Adam Sandler. |
 |
A Broadway actor at heart, Walken returned to the stage in 2000, given the task of becoming the main character in James Joyce's cryptic work, The Dead. Walken was recognized for the effort with a Tony nomination for Best Actor that same year.
By this time, the veteran actor was known as a funky character who could make you die laughing in his legendary Saturday Night Live performances and impress you with his dancing skills in DJ Fatboy Slim's video "Weapon of Choice."
From 2000 onward, Walken continued his eclectic choice of films, doing everything from Joe Dirt (2001) and The Country Bears (2002), both comedies, to the thrilling Poolhall Junkies and Catch Me If You Can (both in 2002), for which he was nominated for an Oscar. With Catch Me, Walken proved that he was still on top of his game, and he went on to do The Stepford Wives and Man on Fire in 2004.
Walken, who wrote, directed and starred in an off-Broadway production called Him, is now set to star in Romance & Cigarettes, a musical that will surely highlight his dancing prowess, and Click in 2006, co-starring Adam Sandler. |
