“I don't know how to work a computer. I've never put my name in a computer, never looked on any web sites. Somebody has owned AdamCarolla.com for 10 years, and I don't even know who owns it.”

| Birthplace: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania |

| Adam Carolla isn’t what you’d call an intellect. After all, the Philly native finished high school with a 1.75 GPA -- a number only slightly higher than his regular blood/alcohol level. Even though he might not be the first person you’d select to help you with your homework, his funny and direct demeanor make him the perfect person to kick back and watch a game with. |
 |
| Adam Carolla is the beer-guzzzling, hammer-wielding star of TLC’s The Adam Carolla Project, Comedy Central’s Too Late with Adam Carolla and CBS Radio’s The Adam Carolla Show. Before having his name tattooed across his own programs, America’s everyman was the co-host of The Man Show and Loveline. |

2005 proved to be a big career year for Adam. The Philly native began the year with The Adam Carolla Project, a TLC series in which he and his clueless friends and family renovate and resell his boyhood home. Next came Too Late with Adam Carolla, a late night talk show featuring skits, songs and celebrity guests.
The best, however, was yet to come. On August 4, 2005, Adam announced he’d be stepping down from Loveline to replace Howard Stern in a number of major morning markets in the Western U.S. From the beginning, he made it clear that he and Stern were very different entities. “The God's honest truth is that I'm probably funnier, but he's smarter,” he said. “Here's the thing about Stern -- he's really a smart guy. He's nutty. He's outrageous. He's all those things, but he's also a very smart guy.” The Adam Carolla Show officially debuted on January 3, 2006, in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, Las Vegas, Fresno, and Sacramento. More cities are expected to be added soon.
In addition to his television and radio shows, Adam was cast in the big screen’s Farewell Bender (2005). |
