MERYL STREEP'S DAUGHTER MAKES HOLLYWOOD DEBUT
Popular actress Meryl Streep's daughter Grace Gummer had made her first television drama debut. Grace Gummer will make her first star break in Gigantic, a television drama about the chaotic life of being a Hollywood "It" kid, according to published reports. The drama will air on the youth-oriented TeenNick network in early 2010.
In show she is playing 17 year old daughter of a famous celebrity couple in "Gigantic" a fictional series for Teen Nick described as a coming-of-age story among the Los Angeles elite that skewers star-making promotional machinery, Nickelodeon said on Wednesday.
Other crew members includes, 17-year-old Anna (Gummer) and her younger brother Walt (Oller), both kids of a famous movie star couple, Anna's best friend Piper (Purdy), frenemy Vanessa (Mantegna) and Anna's boy crush with a big secret Joey (Rittman).
Gummer is the third child of the actor Meryl Streep, who grew up in Los Angeles. However, Streep had always tried to kept her children out of the celebrity spotlight, but Grace appeared on the New York stage in November 2008 in a dark comedy called "The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents".
