Geri Halliwell made her way to campaign Breast Cancer Care 2009 Fashion Show at Grosvenor House Hotel in London. But it's not better to step out in the dress you wore seven years ago and look better in it than you did back then. But Geri Halliwell managed it and come for good cause. The former Spice Girl first wore the two-tone purple and blue vintage gown for the Oscars in 2002.
The former Spice Girl looked sexy in a multi-colored gown as she strutted through the arrivals area to join fellow attendees including Lisa Snowdon, Kara Tointon and Gail porter, among others.
Aside from helping out with breast cancer research, Miss Halliwell recently launched a campaign to help women suffering from gender based violence in Nepal.
Of the effort, Geri told press reports - ''Violence against women and girls is not acceptable in any country, it is not acceptable in the United Kingdom and it is not acceptable in Nepal. Though it is the 21st century, mothers are still dying in childbirth and subjected to violence within the home.''
The 37-year-old adds, ''Women deserve to be empowered in all areas, in health, education, and to feel safe. It is a proven fact, a strong healthy educated mother is the key to a healthy, prosperous country. We all benefit- we take care of them, they take care of us.''
Geraldine Estelle "Geri" Halliwell is an English pop singer-songwriter, children's author, actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Population Fund.
