There are some things that simply go together: peanut butter and jelly, salt and pepper, and tabloids and Cheryl Tweedy. The Girls Aloud singer has been front-page news since 2002, when she beat out thousands of other aspiring singers to earn a place in the popular girl group. Since then, Cheryl has commanded the media’s attention due to her romance with English footballer Ashley Cole, her war of words with diva Charlotte Church and her unfortunate assault of a toilet attendant in 2003.

Luckily, Cheryl has managed to secure plenty of good press as well, thanks to the success of Girls Aloud. The group released platinum-selling albums, including Sound of the Underground, What Will the Neighbours Say?, Chemistry, and The Sound of Girls Aloud, and their songs have also appeared in the films Love Actually (2003) and Freaky Friday (2003).

Cheryl Tweedy’s sex appeal is practically off the charts. Cheryl Ann Tweedy has spent nearly her entire life in the limelight. Born June 30, 1983, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Cheryl began her modeling career at the tender age of 6 when she won the prestigious World Star of Future Modeling competition. And she didn’t stop there. In the years that followed, she was named “Best Looking Girl of Newcastle,” “Most Attractive Girl” at the Metro Square, and she starred in a string of popular commercials seen throughout the British Isles.

“Chezza,” as she’s known in the media, won another competition of sorts, at the age of 16, when she beat out thousands of other young women to earn a place at the Royal Ballet Summer School in London. Despite her success as a dancer, Cheryl’s true love was singing and she longed for the opportunity to show off her dazzling vocal prowess.
