Adrianne Marie Curry was born August 6, 1982, in Joliet, Illinois. Like many girls, she grew up dreaming of one day becoming an international fashion model. Her reality, however, was far more grim. Hooked on heroin and cocaine at an early age, Adrianne dropped out of high school in 2000 when she was still just a junior. Although she'd eventually complete her GED, Adrianne spent the next three years bouncing around from one part-time job to another, working as a telemarketer one day and as a waitress at Hooters the next. Despite the many changes in her life, the one consistent factor was her desire to model.
Luckily, Adrianne got a chance to do just that in 2003 when she applied to become a contestant on America's Next Top Model, a new UPN program about the transformation of everyday women into fierce supermodels. The program turned out to be the perfect showcase for Adrianne's inner and outer beauty and, after several grueling weeks of photo shoots and fashion shows, she was crowned the winner.
Although the show made her an instant celebrity, it failed to produce some of the results she was expecting. Adrianne Curry appeared on VH1's 4th season of The Surreal Life with Da Brat, Chyna, Jane Wiedlin, Christopher Knight, Verne Troyer, and Marcus Schenkenberg. During the season, Adrianne Curry and Knight began a romance and as of May 2005, live together and are now engaged to be married. On September 11, 2005, VH1 aired My Fair Brady, a show that documents their life together. On an October 3, 2005 broadcast of the Opie and Anthony show, Adrianne Curry discussed her bisexuality and revealed numerous past relationships with women. Despite not receiving her Top Model prizes, Adrianne Curry continued to model. Adrianne Curry has modeled for Stuff Magazine, People, Playboy, Maxim, Marie Claire, Lucky, Macy's, and Merit Diamonds with her earnings of $40,000 Curry appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial for Playboy in February 2006 (U.S. Version) where she was paid $1,000,000 for the shoot.
