My Mom sent me this over the weekend. It's a photo from an early 1980s issue of the Denver country club lifestyle magazine "Club Ties."

One of our neighbors growing up knew someone who worked on the magazine, and they recruited my brother Ben (the blonde kid on the left) and me to model for a fashion spread up in the mountains.

As you can see from my Lacoste jacket and little Adidas sneakers, I had an impeccable sense of style back then (it's only been downhill from there). Not sure about the guy who was supposed to be my Dad though--I think he's a little too tan to have fathered me.

One of the most amusing things about the magazine, by the way, has to be the ads in it. One of them, for example, is for something called "Hughes Jet Club." Greed is good indeed!
