I take a lot of photographs in a week. It seems out of 30 pictures or so there is always one that gives you that rush. You know, that feeling of "I can't wait to get home and see it on the screen".
I have often considered downloading the pictures to my laptop and doing a quick preview. But then I might miss that one photographic opportunity of a life time!
Sadly, I seldom use my Canon AE1 Program or my older Fuji 35mm even though I have quite a selection of lenses and filters for each.
It is just too easy to preview the digital photos with my Fuji S5100 and delete the "not quite right" ones. And now instead of paying for printing a whole roll I just print the ones I really want to display on my HP Photosmart 7760. Yes, I have my eye on one of the larger format HP photo printers.
I got interested in photography with my grandfathers old accordian pull-out Polaroid when I was a wee lad. You had to coat the pictures with a liquid wax, felt stick. What technological advances we have made.
Wunderground is such a good place to share photos and it made me aware of the excellent photographers that contribute. I have also picked up a lot of great ideas on subject matter and layout. |
