Madeleine Peyroux was born in 1974 at Athens, Georgia. She is an American songwriter, jazz singer and guitarist. Her father shifted to Brooklyn. She was six years old at that time. She grew up in New York City and southern California. After her parent's divorce, she came to Paris with her mother. She started singing when she was 15. She worked with so many street musicians in the Latin Quarter in Paris. She joined Riverboat Shufflers; one the group. She joined lost wandering blues and jazz band at the age of 16. She performed songs of Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday. Dreamland was her first album. In 1996, Dreamland released. It got too much success. Exciting vocal performance was given by her in the music. She appeared at Jazz festivals and on the Lilith fair tour. She earned too much media speculation because of this. She became popular female singer. She joined with William Galison. He was multi-instrumentalist. They both appeared at Bottom line, Tin angel and Joe's pub. Got you on my mind released in 2003. It had seven-song. It was again re-released by William Galison in Aug-2004. Four new tracks were added by Gallison. Careless love, sophomore effort was released by Peyroux in sep-2004. It got positive reviews by people. In sep-2006, her new album "Half the perfect world" was released. She worked with various artists. They were Jesse Harris, Walter Becker, Larry Klein and kd lang. Her well known ballad "Don't wait too long" was featured in a "National Television Advertising Campaing". It was for promotion of brand apparel "Dockers".
