"I had to do this one sex scene for Battlestar that wasn't a bedroom scene. It was outside in a forest under a lightning-and-thunder shower. I was like, 'So you want some crazy forest sex? Okay, I gotcha.' In the end, they had to totally edit it down and take out all my moaning."

| In 2003, Grace Park boldly went where many people had gone before -- space. The role she accepted on the miniseries Battlestar Galactica brought her international recognition. In 2004, she reprised her role on the TV series of the same name; as "Boomer," she grows more in the public eye every day. |

| Grace Park -- not to be confused with the golf champion with the same name -- is a sexy and tough young actress of Korean, Canadian and American background. She is mostly known for playing Lt. Sharon "Boomer" Valerii on Battlestar Galactica, which will undoubtedly be a huge springboard for her into more television and film roles. |

Grace Park was born on March 6, 1979, in Los Angeles, California. When she was 22 months old, her family moved to Canada. In 1992, Grace graduated from Magee Secondary and went on to obtain a degree in psychology from the University of Victoria.
When Grace graduated from college, she thought about getting into acting only for a year. She started out in modeling, and her feature film debut came in 2000 with an appearance as a dancer in Romeo Must Die. The action movie starred Jet Li and the late Aaliyah. That same year, Grace landed the role of Shannon Ng on the Canadian teen drama series, Edgemont.
While working on Edgemont, Grace also picked up guest appearances on a few short-lived television shows. In 2000 and 2001, she accepted parts on The Immortal, The Outer Limits and Dark Angel. Grace met Korean real estate developer Phil Kim that same year and began a relationship with him. In 2002, she returned to film and played the part of Charmaigne in L.A. Law: The Movie.
After an appearance on Stargate SG-1 (2002), Grace took a few guest acting spots on the sci-fi series Jake 2.0 (2003). It was also in 2003 that she landed the part of pilot Lt. Sharon "Boomer" Valerii on the television miniseries Battlestar Galactica, a remake of the 1978 series and film of the same name.
In 2004, the project was nominated for three Emmy Awards and it won a Saturn Award for "Best Television Presentation."
After the success of the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, Grace Park returned to making guest appearances on television shows. In 2004, she was featured on Andromeda and The Dead Zone. Later that year, Battlestar Galactica became a full television series and Grace Park reprised her role as Boomer. She also married Phil Kim in 2004.
In 2005, Battlestar Galactica was nominated for two Emmy Awards and won a Hugo Award for "Best Dramatic Presentation -- Short Form." While working on the acclaimed series, Grace continued appearing on Edgemont until its conclusion in 2005.
In March 2005, Grace Park appeared in Maxim magazine. She currently resides in Vancouver with her husband. |
